• Location: Southern Asia, bordering the bay of Bengal, between Burma
and India
• Currency: Taka (BDT)
• Climate: Tropical in mild winter (October to March)
               Hot and humid in Summer (March to June)
               Humid with a warm and rainy monsoon (June to October)
• Religions: Muslim (83%) and Hindu (16%) then other is only 1%
• Ethnic groups: Bengali (98%), tribal groups. Non Bengali Muslims
The official language is Bangla, which is also known as
Bengali. It is the first language of more than 98% of
the population. Many people that live in Bangladesh also
speak English and Urdu.
