Teacher Appreciation Poem Books
Dear Parents, The PTO would like to encourage all Grace McWayne students to show their teacher how much they appreciate all of their hard work. Since April is National Poetry Month, we are asking the students, with the help of their parents if needed, to fill out the attached acrostic poem in honor of their teacher. The poem can be downloaded and printed from your computer. Extra blank copies will be available in the office. (Please refer to the bottom of this letter for an example). This is only an example, we suggest that your child(ren) create their own poem. They may also color and decorate their poem anyway that they choose. If your child(ren) would prefer to write their own poem in a different style, they are more than welcome to do so. When they are finished, please have them take the poem back to school and present it to their teacher by April 25th. Each classroom teacher will have been given a poem binder for their student poem collection. We hope that our teachers will treasure this keepsake for years to come.
