					D.E.D Bio
Originally founded in 1992. Mark Willing and Stuart Taylor, crazed from
three years constant raving, were convinced they could make the kind of
music they were hearing in the clubs. Thus, D.E.D was born. The original
set-up was pure old-skool grooves - combining '92 rave stabs with sampled
death-metal guitar riffs and breakbeats. The music pounded relentlessly,
never much below 170BPM. ‘Are my ears bleeding?’ was a commonly
asked question.

After playing a number of underground events they decided to expand the
range of music they were playing and, along with another friend, formed the
very successful trance-techno act 'Cybernaut' (Magick Eye records).
Cybernaut has played hundreds of gigs in the UK and Europe – supporting
such acts as ‘Fluke’, ‘The Shamen’, ‘Eat Static’ and even diverse acts like
‘Hawkwind’ and playing huge gigs at Brixton Academy, Wembley Sports
Ground and at the Paris Love Parade.

They continued in Cybernaut until October 1999, releasing a string of
successful singles and the highly acclaimed follow-up album 'Hydrophonics'
(Magick Eye MEY CD 24).

The other member of Cybernaut however decided he needed a break, so
rather than continue under the same name, Mark and Stuart decided to
resurrect and update their old act and capture the spirit of the old-skool
days. Thus, D.E.D was re-born.

The first gigs set, D.E.D swept through some of London’s biggest nights,
such as ‘Escape from Samsara’ and ‘Trancentral’ building up an incredible
following in a very short space of time.

Always trying to stretch the concept of a live dance act, D.E.D also played
some succesful gigs on local TV and radio. The UK club-scene seems to
love the old-skool/nu-nrg cross over that the D.E.D hard-house sound
offers. Huge build-ups, enormous old-skool riffs and sweet nu-nrg hoovers
are the order of the day!

In 2000, D.E.D is going from strength to strength – Still working on their love
of gigs, Mark and Stuart have also started work on the first releases and
remixes as well as collaborations with various UK record labels and artists.
