Maud Mandel, Associate Professor of History and Judaic Studies at Brown University, spoke on "'Each Algerian Must Feel Palestinian': 1967, 1968, and Muslim/Jewish Relations in France" on May 9, 2008, at the Mershon Center for International Security Studies. About 50 people attended Maud Mandel's lecture. Her current book project, Beyond Antisemitism: Muslims and Jews in Contemporary France, has been awarded an advance contract by Princeton University Press. Maud Mandel speaks with Miriam and Bernard Yenkin after her lecture at the Mershon Center. Mr. Yenkin is chairman of Yenkin Majestic Industries, a paint and polymer manufacturing company in Columbus, and Mrs. Yenkin is former national vice chairman of United Jewish Appeal and vice president of the Council of Jewish Federations. Both are past board chairs of Columbus Jewish Federation.
