Dear Parents and Students,

We are delighted to welcome you to the new academic year 2009-2010. We hope you have
enjoyed your summer vacation. We are looking forward to meeting you all.

We have quite a few new teachers joining us this year. They come from near and far and have
been working very hard to provide the students with an exciting and integrated programme based
on the British Curriculum.

Let’s have a wonderful start by:
   Establishing an early bedtime routine.
   Encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
   Developing good homework habits.
Working closely with the school policy and procedures.

School begins at 7:30 am and ends at 2:30 pm. There will be opportunities for extra-curricular
programme during the school day. Teachers have worked very hard to come up with interesting
ideas that will provide our students with a variety of activities that supports their academics.

Due to the unusual circumstances of this year and to ensure the academic progress of our
students, the school will be operating on Saturdays from 7:15 pm until 12:45 pm until further
notification.

To facilitate communication between home and school and in case of any emergencies, parents
are to ensure that the Health and Information forms, included in the Student’s packet, are filled
out completely and accurately and returned to the class teacher as soon as possible. Emails will be
the only mean through which teachers will keep in contact with the students.

Parents are also highly encouraged to visit the school website during the coming period for
announcements and updates www.niscl.com. In case of any concerns or enquiries, do not hesitate
to contact the school through email nbisinfo@niscl.com or use the Parents Corner section on
our website.

Please be advised that in case of suspected illness among the students, they will be immediately
isolated and Parents will be called to come and collect their children as soon as possible. The
students will NOT be accepted back to the school unless they have an official health certificate
from the Health Insurance department.

May I take this opportunity to wish you all a very successful academic year.

Regards,

Neveen Kassem
Nefertari British School Headmistress.
