LESSON PLAN FOR MODULE 6: REVIEW AND REPORTS
Instructor Preparation Guidelines
Before conducting this module, the student should possess and/or be familiar with:
• The purpose and function of AHLTA-Mobile
• Navigating AHLTA-Mobile screens
• Adding and entering patient data
Before conducting this module, the instructor should be familiar with the above, have practiced
the procedures explained in this module, and be able to demonstrate them with ease.
Ensure each workstation has the following hardware and software:
• A laptop or desktop with TMIP-J Block 2 installed with the AHLTA-Theater application
• A Pocket PC with AHLTA-Mobile installed (These training materials are written using the
Hewlett Packard iPAQ Model 5150 or Symbol MC70).
Ensure the instructor’s AHLTA-Mobile interface displays the Remote Display software image of
the Pocket PC, or the instructor has the Margi Presenter-to-Go connected to the projector and
the Pocket PC.
Ensure there are at least three patient records loaded on the Pocket PCs.
Estimated Time
The estimated time for this module is one hour depending on students’ participation in data
entry tasks and practice exercises.
Objectives
At the end of this module, the students will be able to accomplish the following without
assistance:
• Review saved encounters and exams.
• Generate a MEDEVAC Request Report.
Student Evaluation
At the end of this module, direct the students to individually complete the scenario in the
Student Evaluation. Review the procedure when all students have completed the evaluation.
Because the tasks in this module are so straightforward, there is no practice exercise.

1. Introduction
The AHLTA-Mobile Startup screen has two
buttons that enable you to accomplish specific
tasks for processing patient data. From the
AHLTA-Mobile Startup screen, as shown in
Figure 1-1, you can access the History button and
the Reports button. This module covers their
functions.

3. Review Patient Encounters and Exams
Once you have signed and saved encounter and
exam data, you can review them in read-only
format by using the History button on the
AHLTA-Mobile Startup screen. You cannot edit
the data due to being in Encounter Review mode.
If you find a need to add or change information,
you must create a new encounter or exam. (The
exception to this statement is the DD1380 Field
Medical Card. If you need to add information to a
DD1380 exam, you can do so with a Reassessment
exam.)
You can review the following encounters and
exams:
• DD1380 and associated Reassessments
• Sick Call
• SF600
• Pre- and Post-Deployment Assessments
To review data in encounters and exams, follow
these steps:

4. Medevac Request Report
4.1 Generate a Medevac Request Report
AHLTA-Mobile has one report feature in its
application: the Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC)
Request Report. This feature stores the information
locally on the Pocket PC for reference purposes. It
does not submit a request for evacuation through
any other system. You still need to request an
evacuation through traditional means, i.e., radio or
phone.
Generate this report to record an evacuation
request for one or more patients. Follow these
steps:
