One of the things that has been growing in popularity
these days is showing thumbnail images for your blog posts on your homepage and category
pages. However, I would say that well over half of the images you find on blogs shouldn’t even
be there due to the copyright of such. Many bloggers will simply go to google images find
whatever picture they need then add it to their blog. The problem is that by doing this you could
potentially run into some serious legal issues.

For those of you that do like to add images to your blog, here are some of the best places to find
Free Images that you can use without having to link-back or deal with any legal stuff. But make
sure you see the terms of each picture, because every once in a while you will find an image that
does have some sort of usage agreement.

Where To Get Free Images For Your Blog?

Below are 3 places where you can find tons of free images for your site.

   1. Flickr: Flickr is a really great source for free pics, however make sure to contact the
owner of the picture and ask permission before using it. I have done this a lot in the past
and a lot of people are willing to share their pictures. Give them a good reason, maybe a
quick complement and offer a link back to their Flickr profile.
   2. Stockvault: Stockvault has a lot of nice stock photos, just be warned that this site is filled
      with adsense.
   3. deviantART: This is a huge community of artist sharing all sorts of images and graphics.
Again, checkout the license of the graphic as a lot of these aren’t free, yet it is still a great
source for free images if you become familiar with the site.
   4. Stock.xchng: Saving the best for last here you’ll be able to find a lot of great stock photos
as well as PSD’s, templates, background images and more. Please checkout the
      restrictions before using
