Adding a Link to a Google Map

Creating a weblink to a google map is easy.
First add a custom weblink field to your account or contact object (for whomever you want to look up the map for). Then edit the weblink to point to the google maps service, and apply the correct parameters to pull in the address, with '+' inbetween. This is a normal complete url for my address, you could paste this to your browser to see it working. http://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=34+Moolanda+Ave,+West+Pennant+Hills,+NSW+212 5 In the weblink you just use the substitution strings, from the picklist 'Account fields', for each address element. See below.
The other thing is to use a custom tab, add on under the admin/app customisation screen... it's just a placeholder record, and like above point your weblink to it. Also dont forget the display text at the bottom. Then place your weblink on the layout you use, and go in and see if it works!!
