US Category Manager / Procurement Manager – Store Supplies

 Annual sales increases of 100M portfolio of the “Center Store” categories,

successfully achieving sales and profit plans for the Automotive, Edible &

Non Edible Grocery, Paper/Pet/Cleaning, Health & Beauty, General

Merchandise, Seasonal & Promotional Categories. In addition, I was the

Procurement Manager for a $10M Store Supply category; effectively

reducing overall expense and delivering bottom line profits to our

OperationsTeam by over 10% each year.. Ownership of $3.5M annual

vendor/manufacturer rebate portfolio. Developed SKU rationalization

program which successfully reduced inventory investment and increased

sales in categories. Developed and implemented a Industry first

successful HBC Category strategic plan to vertically focus the

organization on the development of a long term, strategic program

focusing both to organization and customer on 5hour Energy Shots. The

result drove “energy shot / pill” sales from $50K to $3.8M annually.

US SAP EDI & B2B Business Development Manager - Global

 Project Manager, responsible for developing EDI and B2B interface and

communication with ExxonMobil Retail Suppliers in the US. Successfully

and aggressively “sold” suppliers on funding cost of programs. First C-

Store chain to develop direct SAP / B2B interface for ordering, delivery

and invoicing with major beverage suppliers. The results of this project

has been calculated to have returned almost 3% in bottom line profitability

to the Convenience Store Chain.

 Retuned 2x digit growth in sales and profit in Package Beverage and

Tobacco Categories; while achieving growth in all product offering in 280

company owned, franchised and distributor organizations. Responsible for

Category Management and Procurement for all company operated stores

in the Michigan Market. Successfully negotiated merchandising

programs and vendor rebate contracts for Corporate and Dealer

Stores to augment national programs. Increased average store

merchandise sales from $34,000 in 1997 to $64,000 in 2004 at an

average 32.4% Gross Margin. Ran highest average store sales in On The

Run program format in US 1997 – 2000.
