Dear Applicant:

Thank you for considering employment in La Joya I.S.D. Attached is an application form as
requested. Please follow the directions and include the necessary attachments in order to
submit a completed application. For your application to be completed you must submit the
following:

       •   Application with all applicable blanks completed
       •   Most recent Official Transcript(s)
       •   Copy of Teaching Certificate or letter of completion from University
       •   Acceptance letter from Alternative Certification Program
       •   Three completed reference forms or letters
       •   Resume or additional information, if appropriate
       •   Copy of most recent evaluations, (student teacher evaluation, PDAS)
       •   Copy of Negative TB Skin Test Results

All complete applications for teaching positions will remain in our active file for six
months and will be considered for the specific position posted and stated on the
application as submitted within posted timelines.

When a vacancy occurs, qualified applicants for teachers will be screened by the Office of
Human Resources. Those applicants which we feel have the most appropriate qualifications
and experiences will be contacted by the Office of Human Resources for a personal
interview. After this initial screening, applicants will be scheduled for interviews with
the principal or administrator immediately responsible for the area in which the vacancy
exists.
