							TEMPORARY WATER METER
                                 (For Construction Only)




In exchange for the City of Chesapeake’s installation of a temporary meter to service the subject
construction project, the Owner acknowledges and agrees to the following conditions:

1)      Prior to the installation of the temporary meter, Owner shall have paid in full all
        applicable fees and charges owed to the City by Owner.

2)      Owner shall install, on the outlet side of the temporary meter, a standpipe, including a
        hose faucet, fitted with a City approved BACKFLOW PREVENTION DEVICE
        immediately after the City’s installation of the temporary meter.

3)      In addition to any other rights of the City, the City have the unconditional right to enter
        onto the construction project premises for the purpose of inspecting any temporary meter.

4)      In addition to any other rights of the City, if any of the conditions listed above are
        breached or if the backflow device is installed incorrectly, removed or rendered
        inoperable, the City shall have the unconditional right to remove the temporary meter.
