FROM THE CHAIRMAN
A s fall reaches the Tomball area, the spirit of our community is spreading like wildfire. It is
truly a privilege to be a part of a Chamber which provides a unique opportunity to posi-
tively affect our overall quality of life. In a city the size of ours, individual citizens have an
astounding ability to impact their world. As Chamber members, I hope that our passion for
Tomball is obvious and contagious, and that our leadership role to the community serves as a
driving force for growth and development.
We have witnessed great progress in recent months. The official start

amazing year! The Chamber’s support for the City’s purchase of Hooks Airport has
been further solidified, and I am hopeful regarding the ultimate Chairman of the Board
acquisition of this significant area asset. Rick Pritchett,
With the holidays fast approaching, the Chamber is in full swing. This year marks the 40th
Anniversary of both the Miss Tomball Pageant and the Tomball Holiday Parade, two events for
which our area has been widely recognized. Our committees are enthusiastic; our focus clear. The result will be a successful
kickoff to a wonderful holiday season in Tomball.
All of our schedules seem to become packed with even more during the holiday season, but I ask that you take some time to
get out and enjoy the festive spirit that is uniquely Tomball. See ya’ around town!

When touching on the hot-button issue of school finance reform, Hamric said “This
is the same thing we’ve been dealing with since the 1980s, with finding a way to
