									                         EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT

            BOARD SECRETARY/BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR

THIS EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT was made and entered into effective with
the 2008-09 school year between the Wallington Board of Education, with offices
at Jefferson School, Pine St., Wallington, NJ 07057 (hereinafter referred to as the
“Board”) and

Joseph Brunacki III (hereinafter referred to as the “Board Secretary”).

WITNESSETH:

        WHEREAS, the Board desires to provide the Board Secretary with a
written employment contract in order to enhance administrative stability and
continuity within the schools, which the Board believes generally improves the
quality of its overall educational program; and,

        WHEREAS, the Board and the Board Secretary believe that a written
employment contract is necessary to describe specifically their relationship and to
serve as the basis of effective communication between them as they fulfill their
governance and administrative functions in the operation of the education
program of the schools;

       NOW THEREFORE, the Board and the Board Secretary, for
consideration herein specified, agree as follows:

       1.      TERM
               The Board hereby employs, and the Board Secretary hereby
               accepts employment as July 1, 2008, and ending June 30, 2009.

       2.      BOARD SECRETARY CERTIFICATION AND
               RESPONSIBILITIES

               A. Certification - The Board Secretary shall hold a valid and
                  appropriate certificate in the State of New Jersey.

               B. Duties –

                   All duties assigned to the Board Secretary should be
                   appropriate to and consistent with the professional role and
                   responsibility of the position, and shall be set by the Board
                   policy and in the job description (attached hereto and
                   incorporated herein by reference) which may be modified by
                   mutual agreement from time to time, consistent with the intent
                   set forth above.
            The Board Secretary shall have the right to contact the Board
            attorney for legal assistance as the need arises in carrying out
            his/her duties.

            The parties agree that the Board Secretary shall have the right
            to legal assistance in carrying out his/her duties at the expense
            of the Board provided that he/she has conformed to the Board’s
            policies, rules, regulations and State law. The Board shall not
            hold any discussion with regard to the Board Secretary’s
            performance, or that may adversely affect the Board
            Secretary’s employment, in public session, unless the Board
            Secretary requests that such discussions be held in public
            session, pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Act (N.J.S.A.
            10:4-6 et seq., enacted 1975).

3.      COMPENSATION

        During the term of this Employment Contract, including any
        extension thereof, the Board Secretary shall not be reduced in
        compensation, including salary and benefits. In no event shall the
        Board Secretary’s salary, leaves, medical and/or other insurance,
        and/or any other forms of compensation and benefits be less than
        that provided any other employee in the district.

        A. Salary

               05-06 4.9% increase = $4,252
                      Salary = $91,024
                06-07 4.9% increase = $4,460
                      Salary = $95,484
               07-08 4.45% increase = $4,249
                      Salary = $99,733
               08-09 4.8% increase = $4,787
                      Salary = $104,520 (retroactive to July 1, 2008)

4.      LEAVES

        The Board will provide the following leaves as part of the
        Superintendent’s compensation:

     A. Vacation
        The Board Secretary shall be granted twenty-two (22) vacation
        days annually, all of which shall be available to the him/her on
        July 1st of each year. Up to five (5) unused vacation days as of
        June 30 of the contractual year may be converted into sick
        days on a one-to-one basis.
   A record of the Board Secretary’s vacation days will be kept in the
   Superintendent’s office and the Board office with those of all other
   administrative staff. This list will be provided for Board approval
   each year. At the time of retirement any vacation time due
   following the end of the year of retirement or resignation, plus
   those not taken during the aforementioned year, will be
   compensated at the per diem rate of the final year in the district.

B. Holidays

   The Board Secretary shall be entitled to all holidays:

   Labor Day                     New Years Day
   Columbus Day                  Lincoln's Birthday
   Veterans Day                  Washington's Birthday
   Thanksgiving Day              Good Friday
   Friday after Thanksgiving
   Christmas Eve                 Memorial Day
   Christmas Day                 Independence Day
   Martin Luther King Day        Election Day


C. Sick Leave

   The Board Secretary shall be allowed twelve (12) sick days sick
   leave annually. The unused portion of such leave, at the end of
   any year, shall be cumulative. The Board Secretary shall be
   compensated at a rate of 23% for all unused sick time at the time
   of retirement.

D. Personal Leave

   The Board Secretary shall be granted two (2) non-cumulative days
   of absence annually with pay for personal matters, which require
   absence during school hours, to be used at his discretion. Any
   unused personal days at the end of each school year will be added
   to the accumulated sick day total.

 E. Serious Illness in the Immediate Family

   An allowance of up to two (2) days paid leave will be granted in
   the case of serious illness in the immediate family. (Immediate
   family will be interpreted as in the WEA contract, Article VI)
  F. Death in the Immediate Family

      An allowance of up to five (5) days shall be granted for death in
      the immediate family. The five days are to be consecutive and
      include the weekend if death should occur on Wednesday,
      Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. (Immediate family will be
      interpreted as in the WEA contract, Article VI)

  G. Death of Other Relative or Close Friend

      An allowance of one day’s leave shall be granted with pay for
      attendance at a funeral.

5. HEALTH INSURANCE

  A. Medical - The Board agrees to pay the cost of a medical health
     plan during the period that the Board Secretary is on payroll
     and actually being paid for services rendered.

      Effective July 1, 2008 the Board Secretary may waive his
      health insurance coverage and shall receive in lieu of benefits
      reimbursement based on a minimum of 30% of the cost of they
      plan he had previously selected.

      An IRS Section 125 plan will be maintained for tax purposes.

      The Board Secretary will be entitled to the health denial
      stipend once the effective date of the enrollment change is
      effective. Payment shall be monthly on a pro-rated basis, and
      distributed with the payroll check.

      If the Board Secretary elects to decline coverage he will have
      the right to re-enroll for coverage at any time should his family
      circumstances change such that they lose the coverage. These
      family circumstances include death, divorce, loss of job, or
      other event that results in the loss of health insurance. Re-
      enrollment for any other reason can only occur during the
      open enrollment period. Re-enrollment is subject to the
      carrier’s requirements. The effective date of coverage is
      subject to the carrier’s requirements.

  B. Dental Plan

      The Board agrees to pay the full premium rate of a 70/30
      Dental Service Plan, according to the limits of the application,
      in any event, not more than the cost of a family plan, if
                       applicable, during the period the Board Secretary is on the
                       Board payroll and actually being paid for services rendered. If
                       on leave of absence or maternity leave or for any other leave or
                       reason with no pay, he will be dropped from the
                       aforementioned Plan for the applicable period.

                   C. Prescription Plan - The Board agrees to pay the full premium
                   cost of a Co-Pay Prescription Plan. As of July 1, 2004 the Co-Pay
                   will be $5 for generic drugs and $15 for brand name drugs,
                   according to the limits of the application, for the Board Secretary
                   during the period that he is on the Board payroll and actually
                   being paid for services rendered. If he is on leave of absence or
                   maternity leave or for any other leave or reason with no pay, will
                   be dropped from the aforementioned Plan for the applicable
                   period, excluding leave as per the State or Federal Family Leave
                   Act in which case he will be entitled to coverage as per law.

                   D. Other Insurance

                      Liability Insurance – The Board agrees to cover the Board
                      Secretary under the Board’s liability insurance in an amount
                      sufficient to insure protection against lawsuits that may occur
                      during the performance of the Superintendent’s duties in the
                      district.

              6. JOB RELATED EXPENSES

                       A. The Board will provide a travel allowance of $1,200 per year.

              7.      EVALUATION

                       The Board Secretary will be evaluated at least once per year, on or
                       before April 15.

              8.      TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT

                       The Agreement may be terminated by:

                      A. Mutual agreement of the parties
                      B. Termination by the Board Secretary

                       A 60 day notice of termination in writing by the Board Secretary.

Whereas, the Board Secretary has approved of the terms and conditions of this
Employment Contract,
Whereas, this Employment Contract has been approved by a vote of the Members of the
Wallington Board of Education its meeting of __________ and has been made a part of
the minutes of that meeting.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, they set their hands and seals to this Employment Contract
effective on the day and year noted.
