BlackBerry Mail Connector is a small application, downloadable from the BlackBerry Internet Service website, which is installed on the subscriber’s corporate desktop. While this application is running, BlackBerry Internet Service is able to access the corporate mail store. The BlackBerry Mail Connector must remain running, and therefore the desktop computer must remain on and connected to the network and mail store, for BlackBerry Internet Service to continue to access the subscriber’s mail. BlackBerry Mail Connector provides shared/delegated access, which means that a single subscriber in a workgroup has the ability to share their BlackBerry Mail Connector so that only one computer must remain running at all times. Note: To install, login to the BlackBerry Internet Service site on your desktop browser. The OWA equivalent for Lotus Domino “Lotus iNotes” is not supported. Lotus Domino users must use the Mail Connector if POP or IMAP access is not enabled on their corporate servers.
