October 12, 2007 MEMORANDUM 07-23 TO: FROM: SUBJECT: Deans of Member and Fee-Paid Schools David A. Brennen Visiting Faculty Register, October 2007 Publication
The Association offers full-time teachers at ABA-approved schools the opportunity to be listed in the AALS Visiting Faculty Register. The register includes faculty members who are interested in considering invitations to visit for all or part of the academic year, but does not include those interested only in summer visiting opportunities. The October 2007 Visiting Faculty Register is enclosed. The individuals listed have expressed an interest in receiving invitations for spring semester 2008 and/or all or part of academic year 2008-2009. We recommend that the home and visited schools make the necessary financial and administrative accommodations to ensure that faculty participating in these visits do not suffer detriment in retirement, health, or other fringe benefits. Faculty members may also indicate their interest in visiting law schools in Canada and Australia. This interest is communicated to the AALS international affiliates in those countries and is signified before the individual’s name by an asterisk (*) (indicating interest in teaching in Canada) or a pound (#) (Australia). The next edition of this register will be distributed in February 2008. Enclosure cc: Faculty Recruitment Team Contacts International Affiliates AALS Executive Committee Deans of Modified Service Fee-Paid Schools
