As this chart illustrates, tasmanianjobs.com is now able to report usage of the site compared with the same
month the previous year. In February 2007 we had 8200 unique visitors compared with 1019 in February
2006 and 8772 in January 2007. We experienced a slight drop in unique visitors from January to February
this year mainly due to a shorter month and also the TV campaign with Southern Cross Television during
January. 153 net new job seekers registered in February to bring us to 2030 registered members and we
maintain around 500 unique visitors a day and over 20,000 hits per day.

This is a new chart introduced this month and illustrates the type of employment vacancies advertised with
tasmanianjobs.com during February 2007. The intention of this chart is to assist government, industry and
training organisations identify the skills shortages, high turnover areas and plan for retention and appropriate
training or up-skilling programs. This chart correlates quite closely with the employment categories sought
by registered job seekers, however also includes employment categories with known significant skills
shortages, eg trades and engineering.

February saw a consistent growth in the types of employment categories sought by registered job seekers,
increases were recorded in accounting, community welfare and arts and entertainment, with management
continuing it’s strong growth in numbers.

however recording a slight increase in interstate registrations.

February recorded a growth in job seekers aged over 30 for the second month in a row, however the split of
registered members remains consistently 53% above the age of 30 and 47% below the age of 30.
