1.      POSITION PURPOSE: Briefly state your job's overall purpose in one or two sentences
        highlighting the general function or duty for which your position is responsible.

        This position supports efforts to ensure and improve quality of products and processes
        throughout the organization by maintaining quality metrics to monitor quality levels,
        identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective, permanent and systemic
        solutions. The position helps to interpret Statistical Process Control data for use in
        continuous improvement efforts and assists employees regarding the use of Quality
        /Process Control tools. Assists with problem solving/process improvements related to
        product quality.

2.      KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITY: What is the minimum level of knowledge and
        skills that are necessary to competently perform your job (include formal education, or
        equivalent, type and years of prior work experience, and other qualifications)?

           A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline (prefer food science or
            chemistry, biology) and at least 3 years experience (preferable in a food manufacturing
            facility) or at least 5 years experience in a quality control function and a recognized
            Food Technician Certification.
           Ability to be flexible with extended work hours and will be required to rotate shifts
            every quarter.
           Demonstrates written and oral communication skills, presentation skills, and working
            knowledge and use of computers are essential. Intermediate level in Microsoft Word,
            Excel and Power Point applications.
           Demonstrates good knowledge of statistical process control techniques and their
            application to process control and continuous improvements. Develops and
            maintains control charts for monitoring / improving performance.
           Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to manage difficult and challenging situations.

       Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
        numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
        and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
       Demonstrates good people skills.

       Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, FDA and OSHA regulations, and Labeling Laws.

       While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near
        moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
        Must be able to wear hearing protection in designated areas.
       While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use
        hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is
        frequently required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to
        sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee
        must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required
        by this job include Close vision, Distance vision and Peripheral vision.

4.       SPECIFIC DUTIES: Starting with the most important, list the duties that make up your
         regular assignment. This should include all the major duties you personally perform. Most

 Monitors/Collects qualitative and quantitative data for all products (work in
 progress, raw materials, and finished products) manufactured in the facility to

 Prepares and interprets control charts and graphs for process capabilities and
