Usually Andre releases DVD both with the albums (so-called Limited edition) and separately in a little
case, everything’s so nice and interesting. But not in “No silence” case – DVD was not released
separately and was just a part of limited edition. That’s why there is no full version of its videography,
lyrics etc., which can be found on full DVD album version. Here everything is simple and clear – just
“No silence” and nothing else. However…

did as there is more interesting stuff on their DVD and the edition time proves its value – the end of
August while the European DVD saw the light even in the end of May! I want it!

Review of George Palladev

I’ve watched DVD “Seven years”. The most pleasant surprise was… full collection of ATB videos (14 of
them) for all seven years, including “Believe in me” and “Humanity”. It’s cool to get all Andre’s video
collection with an awesome quality. I remembered “9 PM (Till I come)” and “Killer” (they both together with
“Don’t stop” were recorded on VHS back in 2000, when Russian MTV could show such things). I was
enjoying “Ectasy” and “Marrakech” which I have on my computer, watching up “Long way home” (as far
as I remember Product gave me a link to download it and back then only the half of the video was loaded,
and then… the server was closed for some reason). So I was happy to buy this DVD.

There is also an interview there where Andre is asked different questions, and he is sitting in the photo-
studio (I guess) with the black background and answering them. The most interesting that the DVD-
creators took care of the language barrier. In spite of Andre is speaking German there, underneath there
is an English translation. It’s not Russian of course but still those who know English will understand
everything. Most of the questions were in “Seven years” direction: “How much have you changed for
these sever years?”, “What lies beyond?”, “If the track “Believe in me” has such a name should we
believe in ATB?”, “Why have you released the best compositions collection just now?”; they asked about
DJ school, about Andre’s private life, about working in studio etc.
Making the video “I don’t wanna stop” is also shown. And again – where they speak German – we have a
translation into English in subtitles. Andre speaks both the first and the second and I must admit he is
good at that. There was a funny episode where Andre is sitting in a car and saying: “It’s a good car” and
then – bam – he beeped and got what he has done, started laughing and blushing and cover the camera
with his hand. The godsend of this reel – I finally got the meaning of the video – it was all explained there.

I loved the bonus video “Believe in me” (in exclusive director’s airplay cut version) more than the original,
though the videos are the same, but the track is different – more calm and romantic. It makes a nice
impression and you feel good after listening to this track.

There were not too many pictures – only about 10 of them and all in “Seven years” style. They didn’t even
show those which are on the official web-site now as the background and moreover – they didn’t show
Andre wearing a jacket at the sunset background in the yard. A little disappointing 

p.$: The guy who was designing DVD cover (Marc Schilkowski, I guess), missed the mark and forgot to
give a number “Hold you”, and this confused those who were looking at the back of the case and noticed
it: 05 The fields of love 06 Let U go Hold you 08 You’re not alone

You should be more attentive the next time! 

ATB — “Trilogy” [Platinum edition: CD+DVD] (19.11.2007)
Polish version. Released on Universal Music label.

 1. Video of ATB concert in Poland
 2. Making the video “Renegade” and interview with Andre
 3. “Renegade” video
 4. “Feel alive” video
 5. “Feel alive (Duende cut)” video

Comment

Long-a waited DVD-edition of as well long-awaited ATB album. It appeared immediately and wasn’t even
waited for (actually it was waited for at the dawn of the album release), and then the fans accepted its
absence. And here we go – the platinum edition of the “Trilogy”. And this polish version is going to arouse
polish people interest as the main thing on this DVD is the video of ATB concert in Poland from Andre’s
private collection. And this is gonna make polish citizens happy for sure. Among the videos “Renegade”
and “Feel alive” we can find interview with Andre about new album and single release on the DVD, and
also a short movie about making the video “Renegade”. And after all as a bonus there is a special version
of “Feel alive” (I guess, Eddie was right) with a musical accompaniment in Duende trance-remix form.

Partly the absence of the second “Trilogy” CD is filled in by such bonuses as the remixes of the contest
winners (for the best variation of “Desperate religion” composition), and also for the first time the
exclusive track “Night watch” is legally recorded on the physical carrier. Before that it was sold in the
music internet-stores like iTunes.

P. S.: I think that better than Platinum Edition can be only Super Platinum Edition, made on DigiPak with
three CDs 

Daytona’s comment

As soon as I found out about this CD release, I wanted to buy it as I don’t have a real “Trilogy” – I only
have an average Ukrainian edition. And here after long searching I’m buying it in one Polish internet store
for a pretty high price. 10 days after I’m trying to unpack the box it was delivered in and cut my finger to
blood (a bad sign!).

And here it is: the paper box has a CD case in it. From outside – a simple “Trilogy” with just a logo
“ESKA” radio on it. Compared the booklet with the original – no differences except for the list of tracks
and credits, of course. The first defect – there is nothing said about Cunningham and Egohead Deluxe in
the credit, and it’s not even said that they were making the remixes on “Desperate religion” either. On the
back there is whole lot of commercial. Well, I’m coming to the content.

I’ll start with the first CD. To my mind there is no sense in talking about first 12 tracks, everyone has
already heard them, so I’ll say couple words about three bonus tracks: “Desperate religion (Cunningham
remix)”, “Desperate religion (Egohead Deluxe remix)” and “Night watch” (the tracks go in the same order
as they go on the CD). I was expecting for “Night watch” going after “The chosen ones” – that would be
more logical, but it was put into an end. The first remix is not really in ATB style, and the second one is
completely come close to electro and techno-house. Oh, one more thing: on the computer all the songs
have tags filled in. I’ve got a question: is that CD-TEXT or the disk is recorded from mp3?

Coming next. The first thing I did was looking at the DVD size. It was 1,94 GB (!). That was just a failure!
I start playing the CD. A simple menu with a paper cover of this CD on the background. I watched the
videos, the sound of each one is stereo, 192 Kbit/sec. Now it gets clear why the CD has such a size – it’s
just AVI-files compressed into DVD. After that I watch an eight minute reel about ATB coming to Poland:
Andre, Anna and Verner’s visit to Poland, getting ready for giving the autographs out, their giving out in
some supermarket, and after goes ATB getting ESKA award (now I understand why this label is
everywhere). Andre even sheds a tear before getting the award and after that he laughs and makes
faces. This all is shown to “Feel alive” and “Renegade” music. The second reel is 17-munutes story about
making the “Renegade” video and interview with Andre in German (with Polish subtitles) and there is
“Renegade” video itself. Of course the sound reel has the same soun d as the music videos.

The resume: I recommend this CD only to real ATB fans. Those people who just “like” ATB music and
those who collect rare licence album versions will be disappointed. My mark in 5-grade system would be
3+. If this edition would have the second “Trilogy” CD then it could get 4. But now – it’s not enough for
“Platinum”. Though for “Silver” or “Bronze” edition it has real chances. About the quality-price ratio I don’t
even want to talk – it costs like some German original ATB album, but it doesn’t prove its value. I think
that if this review would be given by a person who had never heard ATB before, he would just ban this
CD.
