RECEIPT FOR KEYS / KEY POLICY Resident(s): _________________________________________________ Address: ___________________________________________________ City: ____________________________State _____ Zip ______________ Resident has received the following number of keys: Entrance door keys: _________ Other keys: ______ for the following: ______________________________________ Resident acknowledges receipt of the keys referred to above for he premises indicated. Resident has also given a key deposit of $ _________________. Loss of any keys should be reported immediately to the owner/manager. It is understood that the resident will not add any additional locks or make any lock changes or additional keys without the landlord's specific written permission. It is further understood that if the resident is permitted to rekey or adds/changes the locks, a set of new keys will immediately be given to the management. In case of an emergency, it is essential that management have access, there is a substantial safety risk to residents and to the property. At the end of the rental relationship, and once keys are all returned, the key deposit will be returned within __________ days, as long as: a) the locks are in working order and have nor been damaged, changed, or replaced, and b) all of the resident's financial obligations to the owner and responsibilities for returning the premises to the management have been satisfied, according to the terms of the rental agreement. If you lose, damage, or lock yourself out of the premises, management will be able to provide you access, and a fee will be charged for this service. For access, due to lockouts, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. the service fee is $_______________. For access, due to lockouts, between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. the service fee is $________________. When a key is lost, a new lock replacement is required. After the lock is replaced, a new key is issued.
