SOX Sox Best Practices for Oracle Apps - Managing Data Changes
            Christopher Martin, Logical Apps
Managing changes to application data has become critical to meet internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Oracle Applications provides either a very
basic audit trail within the forms, or an extremely complex audit tool. More importantly, changes to sensitive data are not actively managed and cannot be
prevented if a user has access to the data. Learn a best practices approach to automatically enforce and manage data change in the Oracle Applications.
Effective management of data changes is critical to meet internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Utilize pre-built controls to monitor, audit and
manage key data changes. Learn a best practices approach to automatically enforce and manage data change in the Oracle Applications.
AUDIT any column or table in the Oracle Applications
ENFORCE approvals or reason codes for any changes

SOX Segregation of Duties (SOD) and Hierarchical SOD
            Anthony Tarantino, Logical Apps
Segregation of Duties (SOD) includes the assurance that no one individual has the physical and system access to control all phases of a business process or
transaction: from authorization to custody, and to record keeping. But most fraud occurs at higher, hierarchical, levels in most organizations. Learn a best
practices approach to automating the enforcement of SOD and the benefits of building on SOD to automate enforcement at a hierarchical level:
            1. Identify individual conflicts in segregation of duties
            2. Identify the roles and responsibilities of the individuals involved
            3. Identify the reporting relationships of the individuals involved
            4. Identify HSOD conflicts that occur at higher levels within the organization
            5. Help in providing checks and balances for critical planning and forecasting decisions

MFG Product Families or Planning Bills: That is the Question?
             Jerry Edwards, JKE Consulting Services
Recently I had the opportunity to migrate a client from the use of 54 planning bills to product families. This was based on the ability of product families to
support forecast consumption of both the exploded finished goods saleable item and the parent product family item (2 level forecast consumption). My
presentation will contrast the features of planning bills and product families. I'll present suggestions of how to maintain forecasts for each parent, be it a
product family item or a planning bill item. I will present setup requirements and data entry for each. Product family items require a number of additional flow
manufacturing setups. I will present product family bill examples and include how to verify two-level consumption. I will cover implementation tasks and how
to integrate product families into forecast explosion and MPS/MRP processing. Attendees will understand the subtle but significant differences between these
             two important planning features.

MFG RFID - From Compliance to ROI
             George Bravo, ClearOrbit
This presentation will examine some of the issues facing companies considering RFID. Companies wishing to deploy RFID within their current
operations need a solution that minimizes the impact to their current ERP. Otherwise, the cost and potential disruption may make it too
difficult to implement an RFID pilot program within your time constraints. Given the rapid pace of RFID developments, standards and customer
requirements, it is critical that you gain practical experience with RFID as soon as possible to maximize the competitive advantage this
technology can deliver. This presentation will not only define RFID, but it will also look at where it came from, how it works and how it can be
             deployed today.

the technology stack in Release 11i, the differences between an Oracle DBA and Oracle Applications DBA are even more significant than with past releases.
The Oracle Applications DBA is a Technology Specialist whose responsibilities span from the operating system and database to the client desktop.

Upgrades to 11i often need to take into account newer hardware. As part of a hardware transition, it is a perfect opportunity to migrate from your legacy
operating system to Linux. This presentation will specifically cover the process of upgrading an Oracle Applications 11.0.3, Solaris 2.8 environment to an
Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.9, Red Hat Advanced Server 2.1 environment, however, the process is applicable to 10.7 and 11.0.3 environments running on
             any operating system(s).

      TTT Release 11i and RAC
             Kevin Dahl
RAID is the standard in nearly every organization's Oracle Database computing environment. In fact, it’s not a question of should RAID be used, but what
form of RAID should be chosen. Why has RAID become so pervasive? Answer: it is cost effective and minimizes or eliminates downtime and data loss. RAC
is now cost effective and minimizes or eliminates downtime due to computer failure. The answer to the question of whether or not to use RAC is nearly the
same as the answer to the question of whether or not to use RAID.
