                and Trees
Coconut Palm
‘The tree of a thousand uses’ is a source of meat, juice, milk and oil. The oil is used for medicine and
cosmetic products whilst the husk and shells are used for fuel and as a source for charcoal.

Chinese Tallow
The Chinese Tallow establishes a taproot system that enables the tree to withstand extended periods
of drought.

Soy Bean
Soybean Oil is blended with pigments, resins and waxes to produce printing ink ‘Soy Ink’. Soy Ink is
environmentally friendly in comparison to petroleum-based inks.

Babassu Palm
The kernels of a babassu nut possess energetic properties which are ideal for creating bio-jet fuel.

Olive Tree
The olive tree has produced oils and food long before the written language was invented. The olive
branch is a world recognised symbol of peace.

Sun Flower
The roots of floating rafts of hydroponically grown sun flower plants were able to extract radioactivity
in the water caused by the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster.

Rapeseed
Rapeseed can be utlised for non-edible purposes such as lubricants, hydraulic fluids and plastics.

In the 1970’s Jojoba oil was found to be superior to Sperm Whale oil for cosmetic purposes. Jojoba oil

The oil Palm produces two different oils; Palm oil from the fruit flesh and Palm kernel oil from the
seeds.

Brazilian engineers have developed a way to produce biodiesel using coffee oil extracted from bad
quality coffee beans.
