Wood Mackenzie Sells Barlow Jonker Newsletters to Energy Publishing Energy Publishing, Inc. of Annapolis, Maryland and Wood Mackenzie Ltd of Edinburgh are pleased to announce that Energy Publishing has purchased all of the newsletters and coal price indices formerly published under the Barlow Jonker banner. The newsletters include: the Australian Coal Report, The South African Coal Report, the China Coal Report, Indonesian Coal and Power, From the Face, Coalfax and International Coal Seam Gas. According to Forrest Hill, president of Energy Publishing, “These newsletters, combined with the publications already offered by Energy Publishing that cover North America and Latin America, offer readers global coverage of the coal industry, with in-depth analysis of trends and developments in the major coal-producing and exporting countries.” He went on to say, “Our goal is to continue the publication of the highest-quality newsletters that provide insights unavailable anywhere else.” The numerous price indexes published under the Barlow Jonker name will continue uninterrupted as they have for almost 30 years. These include the BJI Index, the South African Steam Coal Index, ACR Asian Index, China Coking Coal Index, and others. Wood Mackenzie is an internatio nal research and consulting firm that specializes in oil, natural gas, coal and metals mining. The firm is widely known and respected for its fundamental analysis of these markets.
