We praise you, O God, We on earth, and they in heaven,

Who loved one another, Make us, and all those we love,
Who worked for justice and peace, Worthy to be called your saints.
Who healed the sick and fed the hungry. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

                                            RE NEWS
All Saints Day
All Saints Day is a celebration of all saints known and unknown. We celebrate the
communion of saints – the union of prayer and love between saints here on earth
(perhaps you) and the saints in heaven.
The children of St Marys joined the students of St Johns, St Pius and St Laurences
to celebrate All Saints Day in a combined schools Mass at St Brigid’s Church today. Many thanks to Mrs
Sue Lacey and the staff and students of St John’s Primary for organising the Mass.
The lives of the saints are pieced together
to form one immense richly beautiful mosaic.
Each saint offers yet another glimpse of the life we are called to live.
They come from all walks of life – from kings to beggars-
and from across the globe – from every place and time.
Each saint – from those that are known by the Church
to those that are unnamed but known
by us because we have met them – share a common link:
                                            they are in heaven,
the same place Christ is calling us to be.
                                                                                             Daily Prayer 2008
