Student Ambassador Program
Fall application deadline: May 1 prior to the fall semester
Spring application deadline: December 1 prior to the spring semester
3.00 GPA or higher from previous semester.
Enrolled in at least 12 credits from previous semester.
Must be a declared undergraduate major in Geology, Geology & Geophysics, Global
Environmental Science, or Meteorology.
Recruit prospective students to the School of Ocean & Earth Science & Technology (SOEST)
Encourage student interest and participation in SOEST
One of three SOEST Club co-presidents
Attend regularly scheduled Student Ambassador meetings and SOEST Club meetings
Positively portray SOEST to the University and outside communities as required
Must perform the following services during the semester in ambassadorship is held:
1. Fall Semester:
A. SOEST New Student Orientation Program (all day Friday in August)
B. The Manoa Experience (Saturday morning event in September)
C. SOEST Open House (all day Saturday in October)
2. Spring Semester:
A. NOSB (all day Saturday in February)
B. Rainbow Bridge (weekday morning event in March)
C. Recruitment Event during the semester
