"Old Settlers" is a folk song written to commemorate the pioneer spirit of the founders and settlers of Mooresville, Indiana (in Morgan County). Since 1824, the people of Mooresville have displayed the qualities of independence, self-reliance, and community bonding that characterize the American experience. The music was composed and arranged by Danny Buckley, and the lyrics were written by Janet E. Buckley and William R. Buckley.
