Hope North:
Senator Newsletter Ryan Jahrman – 10/1/08
WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Changing the Library Hours on Sunday: Some students have suggested that the library should open earlier on Sunday (right now it opens at 6pm). I talked to the Dean of Library Services and he said that they could close earlier on Friday and Saturday nights so that they could open earlier on Sunday. For example, the new hours might be that they close at 8 or 8:30 on Friday and Saturday and then open at 2 or 3 on Sunday. Do you think that this would be a good idea? We are collecting student input this week so that we can pass that on to the library staff. More Bike Racks: Another senator said that students have asked to have more bike racks on campus. Do you think we need to add more, or are there enough already? Shower Caddies in Hope: We did get shower curtains, but I’m still working to try and get shower caddies. (Some floors had these, but they were thrown away this summer.) There doesn’t seem to be a department on campus willing to buy them. The option that’s left is to have AS buy them with its contingency fund. Are these important enough that you would like to see that happen? Send comments to “Senator Hope North” on BUBBS.
