NEWSLETTER Sept 04

International Mirror Class Association Of N S W NEWSLETTER September 2004 Web site: imcansw.org Forty Baskets beach was the venue for the IMCA of NSW AGM. On a balmy Sunday 8/5/04, those who assembled at the venue by way of Road witnessed a fantastic finish by those intrepid and dedicated Mirror Sailors, who set off from Balmoral. Boats that took part. “SEA JOULE” sailed by Celia May and Julie Holmes . “WOODY” sailed by Karl Sparre and daughter Brianna “TIME & TIDE” sailed by Philip Stewart and daughter Cara “SPIEGAL” sailed by Steve Malone and Manuel Panzeras The set course was designated - the crew to arrive and touch the life buoy on the beach first would be the winner. “WOODY” was neck & neck with the borrowed boat “TIME & TIDE”, Both Cara & Brianna couldn’t wait to sail to the beach, but opted to dive overboard, swimming and then a sprint up the beach to the life buoy to finish, a most exciting end to a great sail. After a very nice picnic lunch, the AGM then proceeded, with the following being elected: President Secretary Race Secretary Treasurer Measurer Publicity Officer Bruce Lucas Tony Mandel Steven Foster Steve Hunt Ray Butler Vacant 9816 5869 lucasfamily@tpg.com.au www.imcansw.org The first executive meeting was held on the 5th July 2004 An event calendar was discussed, and will be emailed sometime in September, by the Race Secretary.
