1 AGENDA FOR THE SECOND MEETING OF THE SUB COMMITTEE OF SLBC ON IMPLEMENTATION OF RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE WORKING GROUP ON IMPROVEMENT OF BANKING SERVICES IN HP TO BE HELD ON 24.01.2008 TO BE CHAIRED BY SHRI RIPAN MURGAI, GENERAL MANAGER, HP & CONVENOR- HPSLBC S. The RRBs should replicate the successful implementation of hi-tech horticulture/floriculture in other parts of the State ACTION POINT FOR NABARD Regional Office, NABARD will send the scheme for formation of Farmers Clubs to all the banks in the State and assist the banks at each district level through the DDMs. Convenor Bank Comments: We have received the copy of the scheme and are in process of disseminating the same to our branches. However we have already instructed all our branches to implement the scheme and form at least one Farmers Club. NABARD may please apprise the committee of action taken to get the scheme implemented by all the member banks in the state. ACTION POINT FOR ALL BANKS All Banks working in the State will implement the decision of the SLBC regarding formation of atleast one Farmer Club by each branch of the bank. Convenor, SLBC will reiterate the decision of the SLBC. Convenor Bank Comments: We have already requested all the member banks to instruct their branches to form at least one club by every branch and report the progress. NABARD may please ensure monitoring o f the progress on regular basis. ACTION POINT FOR DIRECTOR SOCIAL JUSTICE AND WOMEN EMPOWERMENT The Director Social Justice and Women Empowerment may evolve the strategy for involvement of Anganwari workers and inform RBI regarding the same.
