					CHEUNG HING-OCTOPUS Car Park System

CHEUNG HING-OCTOPUS Car Park System Overview
CHEUNG HING-OCTOPUS Car Park System is a simple access control system
(Figure. 1). System integrated with CHEUNG HING-OCTOPUS Access Control
System, Loop-detectors and Car Park Barriers. When a car wants to drive into/out the
car park, the car should stop beside the card reader. At this time the car should be on
the top of the loop-detector that besides the card reader. Loop-detector will send
signal to enable the card reader to read card that is available when the car drives over
the loop-detector (Car reader will disable when loop-detector has not metallic object
detected.). Then driver presents his OCTOPUS card. Card reader will send
OCTOPUS card’s IDs to CHEUNG HING Access Controller. CHEUNG HING
Access Controller checks the Cardholder's status before granting access to this car. If
it is a valid card, barrier will open. Now, the car can go through the barrier and into
the car park. The barrier will close after the car drove over the loop-detector that
located behind/under the barrier.

                                       Figure. 1
The operation of barrier rise and down are controlling by the barrier controller.
Different brands of barrier have different barrier controller and configuration. All of
barrier controllers usually have an input for human control (Rise, Down and Stop).
CHEUNG HING-OCTOPUS Car Park System only connect to barrier-rise input
request barrier rise. CHEUNG HING-OCTOPUS Car Park System is similar to
CHEUNG HING- OCTOPUS Access Control System. Only different in the output
control devices, one is door lock and another is car barrier.
