Fall Style Show & Queen’s Tea
September 23rd is the date. Plan to attend at 2PM a Style Show and Queen’s Tea! Reserve your tickets now and bring your friends.
The last Spring Style Show was so much fun we decided to do it again this fall. We will be featuring fall clothes with a peek at Holiday Fashion. Again we are recruiting models from REAL women, from different sizes and a variety of ages. Please consider helping us by volunteering to model the clothes. We have a small restaurant; so there is no sophisticated runway to daunt the faint hearted. Models can stroll between the tables and visit with the guests in a natural manner. Our seating is limited; so early purchase of tickets is recommended. The show and Queen’s Tea inclusive is $25. Call 785-227-3137 or 800-806-3137 to reserve a spot. Registered Tea Consultant—Education for a Career
Registered Tea Consultants prepare for an interesting and rewarding career in TEA and service to the public. Studies may be completed by distance learning or on site. Distance students usually take 3—6 months to complete the six units of study. Motivated students can complete the work on site (with prior readings) in 2 full days. A Registered Tea Consultant will write his/her own business plan in the class. Activities may include running a tearoom business or providing lectures to libraries and community groups about the 5,000 year history of tea, steeping, storage and serving tea, etiquette, terminology of Northern European and American Tea Ceremonies, importance of porcelain with the coming of tea from China to Europe and more. Persons interested should contact us for enrollment and study materials. Distance learning is ($695.) plus books. On site available by request.

Culinary Camps for Kids 7—21
. This summer we celebrated food, etiquette and service with eight young people at our Culinary Camp for Kids. We had a Mother and Grandfather also join us for the fun and information about nutrition, kitchen safety, sanitization, menu planning, working with proteins, bread, cakes, garnishing fruits and vegetables and preparing and serving a graduation dinner. By popular request we will again host small classes during school breaks or suitable anytime for home schoolers. Call us to register or register on line at www.stockhom-restaurant.com under schools.
