Description

ROLE PURPOSE:

Working under the general direction of research analysts, this position directly supports the investment
research process in the technology sector through a broad range of general responsibilities including: data
gathering/analysis, database maintenance, model development/maintenance, financial analytics and the
monitoring of sell-side research.




ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Provides company and industry modeling support
• Creates and maintains model summaries and coversheets
• Maintains financial data and metrics on specific companies and industries
• Maintains databases of key economic and industry data
• Perform routine data gathering of economic data, reported company sales and script data
• Tracks and analyzes street estimates for covered companies, using sell-side models
• Maintains industry financial comparison spreadsheets
• Expands projects to enhance the quantity and quality of data
• Participates in team meetings and general investment team meetings

OTHER FUNCTIONS: Assumes additional duties as requested or assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No supervisory responsibilities

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Background, knowledge and interest in technology
• Understanding of public company financial statements, concepts and measures
• Ability to analyze financial data with the ability to accumulate, organize and assimilate large amounts of
information
• Advanced computer skills. MS Excel experience required. Charting and VBA experience a plus.
• Multitasking and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects in a
dynamic environment
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work and make decisions independently
• Bloomberg and FactSet experience preferred

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
• One to two years of experience in creating business financial models for analysis purposes, ideally, in the
technology sector.


MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS:
• Four-year degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field required
• High GPA strongly preferred

• Background and knowledge of the technology sector, strongly preferred




WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

• Overtime may be required on short notice and may include evening, weekend, holiday hours

• Typical office environment with telephone, desktop computer, copier

• Occasional travel possible
