BERKELEY, Calif.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Fall enrollment is under way at UC Berkeley Extension, with
hundreds of new courses and several new certificates and programs now accepting students. The continuing
education branch of the University of California, Berkeley, UC Berkeley Extension offers professional development
in the classroom and online for working adults in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

To that end, Extension is launching 12 new professional certificates and specialized programs of study this fall.
Professional certificates acknowledge the highest level of academic achievement from UC Berkeley Extension. An
academic advisory board comprising industry experts, UC Berkeley professors, and UC Berkeley Extension
academic staff oversees and approves each certificate curriculum. Specialized programs of study provide focused
subject concentrations that enable students to develop skills within a specific discipline.

Three new programs in Painting, Drawing, and Digital Photography feature cohesive curricula of studio-based
courses in which to learn and practice the essential techniques of each discipline. The Certificate Program in
Interior Design and Interior Architecture also features an updated curriculum for fall.

Mental health clinicians can gain continuing education units with the new Professional Program in Eating and
Weight Disorders, which aims to improve assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.

A host of new offerings target business professionals, including the certificate programs in Business Analysis and
Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management; the Professional Program in Women and Leadership;
and the Professional Program in Agile Management — an exciting new framework of values and practices for
managers. The Certificate Program in Business Administration also boasts an updated curriculum.

In technology, the Professional Program inRestaurant Technology Administration provides training in the
latest innovations to operate restaurants more successfully. The Professional Program in Business Process
Management blends traditional business and IT theories and practices.

New professional programs in Biomedical Sciences and Biopharmaceutical Business keep Extension on the
leading edge of career training in the sciences.

Expanded fall online offerings include courses in green chemistry, PMP exam preparation, business analysis,
landscape architecture, and counseling and psychotherapy. Visit extension.berkeley.edu/online for details.

UC Berkeley Extension's fall 2010 catalog is online at extension.berkeley.edu/cat. Courses are held in convenient
