The Films of Johnny Depp by ProQuest

Oliver Stone (Platoon, 1986), John Waters (Cry Baby, 1990), Jim Jarmusch (Dead Man, 1996), Mike Newell (Donnie Brasca, 1997), Terry Gilliam, (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, 1998), Roman Polanski (The Ninth Gate, 2000), Lasse Hallstrm (Chocolat, 2001), Julian Schnabel (Before Night Falls, 2001), Marc Forster, (Finding Neverland, 2004), Michael Mann (Public Enemies, 2009), but over and over again for director Tim Burton (from Edward Scissorhands to Sweeney Todd), and for Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean, 2003, 2006, and 2007). The book would also have benefited from a well-formulated, carefully crafted concluding chapter, rather than just stopping after a threepage discussion of Depp's latest film released before the book went to press.
