Asian banks across Texas recently celebrated the coming of the "Year of the Tiger." The traditional Chinese New Year holiday fell on Sunday, February 14, and was followed by another holiday on Monday, President's Day. This allowed celebrations to be conducted on different days during the long holiday weekend. The actual day always falls on the second new moon following the winter solstice. TBA has celebrated Chinese New Year with their Asian banks for several years. It has become a staple of their outreach to banks and bankers as the Asian influence in Texas continues to grow.
