Beavers News Letter
Dear Parent/Guardian The scouting year is well under way and I am pleased to report that the 138 th Scout Group is in very good shape. A variety of activities has already been planned for each section. The Beavers leadership team comprises Mrs Laura McNaught and Mr Jamie McPherson. In addition, I would like to thank our Explorer Scouts for their continuing support. I attach information on the following matters.
Your copy of the 138th Scout Calendar Subscriptions Contact Details. It is important that you complete and return this form. Code of Conduct Information on how to get involved. We need you to support the Group and would be delighted to hear from anyone who wishes to become a leader or member of the Parents Executive.
In addition to the above, I would like to draw your attention to ensuring the safety of children when taking children to beavers, cubs and scouts. Please consider the following. 1. Many parents/guardians drop their children at the church by car. This often leads, particularly on Friday evenings, to difficulties associated with parking cars and movement of traffic in general. Clearly in these circumstances unless great care is taken there is the potential for an accident. 2. It is imperative that parents of beavers and cubs clearly indicate to the leader in charge the children attending the meeting and agree with leaders the children being collected. The leaders will try to ensure that Beavers and Cubs do not leave a meeting or any event until they are satisfied they are being collected by a parent/guardian. Yours sincerely,
David McIntyre Group Scout Leader (0141 583 1947)
