CACHE REPORTS 5% COMPARABLE STORE SALES INCREASE IN MAY 2008

     Announces Participation in the Piper Jaffray 28th Annual Consumer Conference


        New York, NY – June 5, 2008 – Cache Inc. (NASDAQ: CACH), a specialty chain of
women’s apparel stores with 297 stores open, reported May 2008 sales figures.


        For the four-week period ended May 24, 2008, comparable store sales (sales for stores
open at least one year or more) increased 5%, as compared to a decline of 2% for the four-week
period ended May 26, 2007. Total net sales for the four-week May 2008 period increased $1.4
million or 6% to $23.3 million, as compared to the same period last year.


        For the 21-week period ended May 24, 2008, comparable store sales increased 3%, as
compared to an increase of 2% in the 21-week period ended May 26, 2007. Total net sales for the
21-week fiscal 2008 period increased $5.0 million or 4% to $118.3 million, as compared to the
21-week fiscal 2007 period.


        Thomas Reinckens, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cache, Inc. commented:
“We were pleased with our May comparable store sales increase of 5%, which was driven by
regular price selling with particular strength in our Sportswear category. Trends for the first ten
days of fiscal June have continued positively, demonstrating that our strategies in merchandising
and marketing are on target with our customers’ desires.”


During the month, the Company opened two new stores.

        The Company today announced that it will be presenting at the Piper Jaffray 28th Annual
Consumer Conference held at the St. Regis in New York on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 10:00 am
Eastern Time. Thomas Reinckens, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Maggie Feeney, EVP
and Chief Financial Officer, and Ashok Gandhi, VP of Finance, will host the presentation. The
presentation will be webcast live at www.cache.com.
