Lynk Becomes Part of the 6th Largest Bank in the World
ATLANTA, September 16, 2004 - Lynk Systems, Inc. (“Lynk”), a leader in electronic commerce and payment services,
today announced that its acquisition by the Royal Bank of Scotland (“RBS”) for $525 million has been completed.

The RBS Group has become the third largest merchant acquirer in the world, bringing together two leading providers in
electronic payment processing. While Lynk leads the U.S. market in merchant processing; RBS’s Streamline is the market
leader in the U.K. and Europe.
