                   BENCHMARK CAPITAL

SAN FRANCISCO, October 5, 2006 -- Yelp, Inc. a leading local review site, today
announced it has received $10 million from Benchmark Capital in its second round of
venture financing. The additional funding will enable Yelp to deepen its leadership
position among early adopters in major metros across the nation. The company also
announced that Peter Fenton, general partner, Benchmark Capital, will be joining Yelp's
board of directors.

Yelp brings together real people interested in sharing their honest insights about
everything local. The site receives thousands of user-generated reviews on local
businesses each day and now supports vibrant communities in Boston, Chicago, Los
Angeles, New York, San Francisco, San Jose and Seattle. More than 1.5 million unique
users visited Yelp in September, a 200 percent increase since January.

“Yelp’s exponential growth in local reviews really caught our attention, especially
since the company achieved that growth with a very small amount of capital,” said
Benchmark’s Mr. Fenton. “Its powerful community-driven, geographic-specific model
encourages the creation of fresh and honest reviews of local businesses. The days of bad
service going unnoticed are numbered. We believe that the massive base of unique
content and the close relationship it enables with local businesses provide the foundation
for a breakout business.”

"Benchmark has an incredible track record supporting consumer-centric
technology companies," said Jeremy Stoppelman, co-founder and chief executive officer.
"We're excited to work with them in fostering more local communities and delivering on
our mission to help consumers find the best local businesses."
