  What is MAAC Project Head Start?
  MAAC Project Head Start is a bilingual /multicultural, early childhood and family education program funded by the Federal Government.
  Services are provided in Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, Fallbrook, and Valley Center. Children are served in our
  Center Base, Home Base, Early Head Start, and Family Child Care Programs (FCCP).

  Who is Eligible for Head Start?
  Children who are low-income and children with disabilities between the ages of 0 to 5 years and prenatal woman are eligible. Age and
  Federal Government income guidelines determine who qualifies. *Children of a deployed parent may also qualify.

  What do I need to register my Child?
  You must have your child’s birth certificate and immunization record showing that the child is up to date on immunizations. Children
  with disabilities need to submit a recent copy of an IEP or IFSP if the child is under three years old. Proof of income requirements are:
  1040 income tax form with W2 attached. 4 recent pay stubs for each parent working showing year to date earnings. If military, we need a
  current LES for the past two months. If TANF eligible, we need a current notice of action. Family must be able to show proof of income
  the last 12 consecutive months. * If family member is deployed, proof can be verified with a letter or orders.

  What services are offered?
  Head Start services include Education, Health Services, Social Services, Nutrition, Special Needs Services, Mental Health and Parent
  Participation.
