					CALLING TO BOOK SPA ESCAPES
Step One: Achieve a Booking Attitude!
Your attitude must be focused on doing something for the hostess and her friends. You must
WIFM! (A potential hostess is usually motivated by “What‟s In It For Me WIFM! So make sure
you WIFM!) Always say, “I would love to treat you and your friends to a wonderful time of
relaxation. When is better for you? Weekdays or Weekends? I hold spa escapes on Tuesday or
Thursday evenings? Which would be better for you?” Never ask for a booking with a question
that can be answered with a “yes” or “no”. Always ask with two alternatives… weekdays or
weekends etc. Write your available dates on the Simple Booking Sheet, so they don‟t have to
see all your personal appointments.

Step Two: Always maintain a Hostess Prospect List of at least 10 names (FRANC!)

Step Three: Contact your Prospects!
Set a time to make phone calls. Use the Hour of Power handout to organize your calling. Call
your most likely to book first. If bookings aren‟t going like you want them to don‟t STOP! You will
hear at least 8 people tell you „no‟ before you get a „yes‟!

“Hi, this is ______________. Do you have a few minutes? I wanted to visit with you about our at
home Spa Parties. Have you experienced our at home spa? I would love to treat you and your
friends to a wonderful evening of relaxation. Our home spa escapes are like nothing you and
your friends have experienced. It is truly the hottest party around. You and your friends will be
treated to an, instant manicure, relaxation time, and a sample of great spa and skin care
products. We really value our hostesses helping us meet new people, so we have a great
hostess program where you can earn up to $300.00 in FREE products and gifts, plus an
opportunity to purchase our skin maintenance set at a 40% discount and receive our Hostess
Neckwrap FREE! When you hold your spa on the originally booked date I will be able to present
you with our exclusive Hostess Only Spa neck wrap. I have the following dates available yet this
month. Which date would work best for you?”

                                                Or

“Hi, this is __________________. Do you have a few minutes! I haven’t talked to you in a
while, are you gearing up for the holidays? (Relate to their response). I am so excited to tell
you some great news about BeautiControl. We have a brand new spa experience…it’s called a
SPAliday Party. You and your guests will be treated to our new Detox Products and Instant
Facelift Treatment. The Detox is incredible…you’ll get a detox clay facial, detox foot treatment,
detox hot towel treatment and a detox hand massage! It will help you rid toxins and leave the
skin glowing and clear! Plus they’re great to during flu season to keep your body strong! Plus
BeautiControl introduced a new collection of mineral eyeshadows, blush and lipsticks for a great
holiday look! I would love for you and some friends to experience these new collections. Can
you think of 8 girls that could use a little SPAliday pampering? I am putting my schedule
together for my at home spas and I have a few dates to fill yet. In fact how would you like a “hot

Step Four: Set Clear Expectations!
Successful consultants treat their bookings like a business. Make it clear that, This is my
business and I rely on Spas so I will NEED your guest list within 48 hours to secure your spa
date. Give her a 1 oz Extreme Repair Hand Crème or other small gift for returning the guest list
within 48 hours. Tell her you will make her reminder calls.
Step Five: Review Hostess Program!
Print a copy of the Hostess Program and review with the hostess point by point. Make sure she
understands how she earns free gifts and what she needs in sales to receive her discounted
products. “_____________ (hostess name) you and I are business partners. I look forward to
helping you receive our great hostess gifts and discounts. I have reserved your date just for you,
so I will be there regardless. In order for you to have a successful party I need you to do just
three things. One, invite 3 times the number of guests that you want to have attend, 8 guests is
a perfect number. 2. Take outside orders. When you have $50 worth of outside orders you can
select any product at ½ price. 3. Obtain one booking before I arrive. Ask the guests that cannot
attend if they would like to host their own SPAliday Party. When you have a booking before I
arrive you will receive a FREE Instant Manicure Show of Hands, valued at $26.50.”




Step Six: Confirm the Spa!
You will want to contact your hostess 3 times in advance of her spa escape. Do make the RSVP
calls for her. Say…

Hi, this is ______________ and I will be your spa consultant on _____________ night for
_______________ (hostess) spa. . I am helping ____________ out by making her reminder
calls. We are going to have a great time. You will be pampered with a hand massage,
relaxation and you will experience wonderful spa products. I will look forward to meeting you at
__________ (hostess) spa. If for some reason you cannot make it please let _________
(hostess) know and you might want to consider hostessing your own spa if you cannot attend.


 Build a relationship with her in the weeks approaching her spa. Make sure she knows that you
are coming regardless, as you have saved this date for her. If you call her to confirm and she
indicates that she does not have many coming, encourage her to call her neighbors or close
friends that could come on short notice, but you WILL BE COMING REGARDLESS. When you
arrive if it is just the hostess, pamper her and use the opportunity to share the career opportunity.


If you never ask, you will never know! When they say no, they are not saying no to YOU, they
are saying no to the opportunity to pamper themselves and their friends. Just think to yourself,
“when I hear „no‟ it means I am working my business & building my future – „no‟ is better than
nothing at all!” and move on to the next prospect. If you ask enough prospects you will fill your
calendar. But you must ask!
