ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION OF CATTLE
Clemson University’s Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences will be sponsoring
two cattle A.I. training schools. A.I. School 1 will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2009
through Thursday, November 19, 2009, and A.I. School 2 will be held Tuesday,
January 5, 2010 through Thursday, January 7, 2010 Personnel from American
Breeders Service and Clemson University will be the instructors. Registration deadline
is one week before the training schools.
Cost $400. Deposit Required ($200).
Enrollment Limited to 20 Participants for Each School.
The school consists of 16 hours of classroom lectures and 16 hours of
laboratories in breeding technique, semen handling and other aspects of
artificial insemination. Classes will begin promptly at 8:30 AM each day
and usually conclude by 8:00 PM.

Attention Clemson University Students: You may also receive 1 (one) credit hour of
AVS 390 Practicum for enrolling in this course. If interested, please check with Dr.
Hupp and your advisor.
