Real life SongS SR HI-Wed, May 2, 7pm-Youth Rm NEWS FOR COLLEGE AGE, SR HI, AND JR HI STUDENTS Andy Mulder News: Our very own Andy Mulder recently signed his letter of intent to go to school and play baseball for St. Clair Community College. He was also written about in the Detroit News round up of MAC division baseball teams. His fastball, and I quote, "has a lot of movement on it." Head over to the Chippewa Valley HS website and download the schedule. Then call over to his house and ask him when he'll be pitching. Then go! Enjoy! Cheer! Dana Gration Play: Coming up in May, Dana Gration will be in a production of "Singing in the Rain" at Cousino High School. She told me last night that they will have real falling rain on stage. How cool is that! Anyway, if you're interested in buying some tickets, see Dana. We pick up where we left off by focusing on the third of "Four Songs You Gotta Know." Regardless of your musical tastes, there's something that happens when you take a good piece of music and put a powerful message into it in a creative way. It can lead you to the God who invented music and hopefully, the truths that He has in His word, the Bible. We've examined Newsboys' "Something Beautiful" and Relient K's "Forgiven," and, as an part of a look at anger, Papa Roach's "Broken Home." Make sure you tune in to what's playing in Real Life this next week. And while you're at it, bring a friend. to see all the details, and plan out your concert schedule. With 4 different stages, this might prove to be a challenge for some of you. What are some of the bands on my schedule you ask? Well, there's Toby Mac, Third Day, David Crowder Band, Relient K, Switchfoot, Newsboys, Chris Tomlin, Jars of Clay, Hawk Nelson, Thousand Foot Krutch, Skillet, Barlow Girl, Family Force 5, Phil Keaggy, Ryan Lasure and Kelly Cleaver smile for the camera at Ichthus 2003. just to name a few. If you still Kelly is getting married to her long time marine man Brad this June. want to go, you'll have to pay $24 more than everybody who has already paid. The remaining $45.00 and your notarized medical release form (if you are 18 or under and NOT graduated from high school) is due by June 10. "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever." - Isaiah 40:8 JR Hi QueSt RetuRnS So there's been a handful of you practicing for the Kingdom Kids performance of "Sermon On The Mound." Very cool! Hey don't look now ... it's JC and the gun show at Ichthus 2006! I love God and I really enjoy baseball. How much better can it get? As for the rest of you, make sure you have plans to be at the JR HI Quest this coming Wednesday night. JR HI-Wed-May 2, 6:30pm-JR HI Rm Jer's Lawn Service?: Jer as in Jeremy Forrester that is. Yep, that's right. Jeremy is starting his own lawn care business. He offers weekly services including mowing, weed trimming, mulching, edging all to make your yard look great. Acts 28:3-6 (NIV) "Paul gathered a pile of brushwood and, as he put it on the fire, a viper, driven out by the heat, fastened itself on his hand. When the islanders saw the snake hanging from his hand, they said to each other, "This man must be a murderer; for though he escaped from the sea, Justice has not allowed him to live." But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no ill effects." 6 The people expected him to swell up or suddenly fall dead, but after waiting a long time and seeing nothing Are you ready for our spring edition of CTF? This coming Saturday, you have a chance to use this event to invite a friend to our church and have a great time. Then ask them back for a Wed. night. Then bring them to Ichthus. And feel free to lead them to the Lord whenever you get the chance, but by all means, use these events in your efforts to reach your friends for Christ! So make plans to be there from 7pm to 10pm. Well, start getting ready by grabbing an info flyer either in the foyer or online at our church's website (www.fellowshipchapel.net). Then you can head over to www.ichthusfestival.org "When we're mere 'branches' grafted into the 'Vine,' we naturally produce fruit 'after our own kind.' That means 'love, joy peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control' (Gal 5:22-23) are fruits, not disciplines." - Rick Lawrence, editor of Group Magazine, May/June 2007
