A New Year…for SINGING
This is a great time to join in the fun of children’s choirs if your children are not already involved.
We start a lot of new music in January, and the Jubilate Singers (grades 3-5) are preparing a
musical to be presented in April. We have the most children in children’s choirs that we have ever
had, but there is always plenty of room for more. If you have a child who loves to sing, be sure
they are a part of our choirs!
The youth choir is beginning work on music for our trip to the SC Youth Choir Festival in April,
so now is a great time to join that group also. We had so much fun at this festival last year, and
we would love to have new young people come and join us!
The new year is a great time for joining adult choir also. We have a real need for new singers in
both of our adult choirs for both the early service and the late service. A big responsibility? Yes, it
is, but it is also a fun one and so much more fun for everyone when more people are involved.
Both choirs are full of wonderful, friendly people, but there is plenty of room for more. Come join
us in music ministry; you’ll be glad you did!

GOFOURTHERS: On Thursday, January 15, we will meet at the church at noon and enjoy a
wonderful BBQ lunch from Henry’s Smokehouse. Cost will be $7.50.
Please call the church office by Monday, January 12, to let us know that you will be joining us.
Following lunch we will have a mystery prize Bingo game.
Now…you might just be asking, “What is mystery prize Bingo?” Well, this is your chance to pass
along those items that you can no longer use or never wanted in the first place. Think “re-gift”!
Just wrap up your unwanted treasure in an intriguing manner and bring it to the lunch. Please
bring one per person. It should be great fun and who knows, you might receive just what you’ve
always wanted! OVER 50?? We would love to have you join our GoFourthers group.

March 19 the GoFourthers will travel to Atlanta for an overnight trip. Highlights include
visiting the “Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs” Exhibit, Stone Mountain,
and the Georgia Aquarium. Please sign up in the church office and submit a $50 deposit to save
your space. Fliers are available in the lobby.
