Murray J. Elston Allan Kupcis, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Nuclear Association (CNA), is pleased to announce the appointment of Murray J. Elston as its new President and CEO, effective January 5, 2004. Murray has been the President of Canada's Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies Association (Rx&D) since 1998 and, for three years prior to that, the President of Ontario Interlink Industry Park on the Bruce Peninsula. Mr. Elston was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1981 to 1994 during which period he held numerous positions including senior Cabinet posts as Minister of Financial Institutions, Chairman of the Management Board and Minister of Health. Among the several Directorships he currently holds on Boards, he is the Chairman of the Institute for Mental Health Research in Ottawa. Murray holds an honours B.A. and an LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario. The Canadian Nuclear Association is a non-profit organization established in 1960 to represent Canada's nuclear industry and promote the development and growth of nuclear technologies for peaceful purposes. http://www.cna.ca
