♦ SUMMARY AND REQUIREMENTS
Assist the Public Works Director, and contracted consultants in making difficult water project or design modification calls
that require significant engineering judgment. Responsible for the City’s Pavement Management Program. Develop work
plans, timelines and resource allocation for assigned projects, monitor progress to ensure objective are met. Provide
professional civil engineering calculations for various project components and review engineering drawings prior to
submittal for design review. General knowledge of modern principles, practices and techniques of civil engineering water
resource market sector, planning, organization, and operation; methods and techniques of supervision, inspection, and public
utilities. Equivalent to a four year university education in civil engineering and five years engineering with emphasis in
water resource engineering. A minimum of three years of supervisory responsibilities or any satisfactory combination of
experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties.
