Title: Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting - 2 positions
Major Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate accounting and business administration students;
teach MBA and MBA-Accounting students; teach in the Executive MBA, if qualified; conduct
research in field of specialization; provide service to the business community and improve the
practice of business in the area of service; and other activities that support the mission of the
AACSB accredited College of Business Administration and Winthrop University.
Qualifications: Ph.D. or ABD near completion in accounting. The area of specialization is open but
preference will be given to candidates with audit and/or systems experience. Candidate must
demonstrate potential for effectiveness as a teacher and researcher. Desirable qualifications include
professional experience, ability to use instructional technology, and familiarity with distance
learning. Candidate strengths must complement current faculty and support the evolving mission of
the department.
Employment Conditions: A nine-month, full time appointment with the option of summer
employment; ABD as Instructor in non-tenure track appointment. Salary is competitive.
