Assistant Professor in Planetary Geophysics, Washington University in St.
Louis. The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Washington University in
St. Louis invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in planetary
geophysics. We seek candidates who apply modern computational, experimental or obser-
vational techniques and demonstrate or show promise of excellence in both research and
teaching. Research areas may include, but are not limited to, deformation of rocks and ices,
tectonics, volcanism, planetary formation and evolution, and remote sensing of geodynamic
parameters of the Earth and other planets. A successful candidate will be responsible for
teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in planetary geophysics and other topics in
the area of his or her expertise. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in geophysics, or a re-
lated field, at time of appointment, and should send a letter of application, curriculum
