									Position: Graphic / Web Designer

The Orthotic Group is the largest custom orthotic laboratory in Canada and the third-largest in

healthcare practitioners with custom orthotics, orthotic footwear and a computerized analysis
system GaitScan™, is seeking a full time Graphic Designer with web design experience. If you

Overall Description:

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will be assisting the company in promoting its diverse
range of products and services by developing, designing, editing and implementing visual design
solutions in both electronic and printed form. Following creative and strategic direction provided,
you will be required to provide concept development and design assistance throughout all stages
of production in a variety of media –print, multi-media etc.

Major Work Activities:

Print - Graphic and Visual Design
Provide graphic design and visual communication expertise for the development and execution of
various integrated marketing communications projects including, but not limited to, magazine ads,
brochures, collateral, posters, etc. Must be able to work collaboratively with others to create
communication solutions that are strategically sound, target market focused and in accordance
with all branding and graphic standards guidelines.

Web - Conceptualization, Design and Technical Delivery
Designs, constructs and maintains web pages for the company website. Will ensure that all
website content will be user friendly and intuitively designed to integrate and extend the
company’s brand across all lines of business. Reporting of website performance and monitoring
of all associated website metrics will also be required.

Minimum Training and Experience Requirements:

    •   Graduate of a recognized post-secondary graphic design program with specific emphasis
        on graphic design and multi-media.
    •   Minimum three years experience in design and layout of visual communications solutions
        for both print and web including the technical requirements of all stages of print
        production and website development and maintenance.
    •   Paying close attention to detail and proficiency with Illustrator, Quark, PhotoShop,
        InDesign, Acrobat, web and multimedia applications is essential.
