TUESDAY OCTOBER 14, 2008 , IDENTIFICATION (I.D.) CARDS Random spot checks will be taking place, make sure you have your valid Vanier I.D. with you at all times. STM STUDENT BUS PASS Returning October 14th • Auditorium • A103 All full-time students (16-25 years of age, resident of Montreal) may be eligible for the reduced-fare bus pass (OPUS). The new cards will be in effect as of October 31, 2008. For information regarding eligibility and requirements to apply - please come to Student Services, Room C203. FEDERAl ElECTION DAY – Tuesday, October 14, 2008 Please note that on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 all classes, including Continuing Education, will be held according to the regular schedule. THE SHAlHEVETH FREIER PHYSICS TOURNAMENT This physics tournament is one of the greatest safecracking feats known to students worldwide. Each team is given a box and a lock mechanism and must use simple materials to build a safe that operates on the principles of physics. Students must use their imagination and knowledge in order to build a safe that only their own team can open in less than five minutes, but that keeps opponents stumped for a minimum of 10 minutes.
