  -- Protector Homeowners Program - Increase effective for new and
     renewal business September 15, 2009.
  -- Average statewide change - +13% (varies by county and territory)
  -- United has changed the way the policy is rated by separating the
     Wind component from the AOP component in the rating process
  -- Guardian Dwelling Fire Program – Increase effective for new and
     renewal business October 15, 2009
  -- Statewide change of +15% in all territories

OLDER HOME UNDERWRITING
GUIDELINES
• United will consider HO3 coverage on homes built 1990 & prior if
   documentation is provided that modernization has been done on the
   roof, HVAC systems, plumbing and electrical.

• All systems (heating/cooling systems, wiring and plumbing) must be in
   sound condition and have been updated within the last 20 years.

• Documentation consists of :
    -- Invoices for all work performed
    -- Signed statements by a licensed Florida contractor who performed
       the work . Invoices must clearly show that the work was done on
       the date completed or
    -- A 4 point inspection

HOME UPDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Roof
       -- 13 years or older if composition shingle
       -- 26 years or older if metal
       -- 36 years or older if tile
•   HVAC
       --21 years or older
•   Plumbing
     -- All plumbing should be copper, cast iron
          or PVC (polybutylene piping is ineligible for United’s programs)
        -- If over 20 years a licensed Fl. plumber should inspect
          the system and certify that it is sound & free of defects
          (United’s ―Plumbing Certification Form’ available on our website
          can be used for this purpose)

• Electrical
  -- Minimum of 100 amp service require (200 amp preferred)
   -- Knob & tube wiring, aluminum wiring & fuses are
      unacceptable
   -- If Federal Pacific electrical panel is present, the electrician must
      sign off that the box is sound & free of defects

FLOOD
• Matching Limits are only required for A and V Zones

• United’s homeowner credit for flood only applies when the flood policy
   is with United.

• Excess Flood -
     -- Effective September 17th agents were given the ability to request
        excess flood insurance quotes directly from our Flood Processing
        website
    -- Although Excess Flood is not a United Product you can now easily
        obtain a primary United flood quote as well as an Excess Flood
        quote from the same website.
    --Click on the New Excess Flood Quote link to receive an Excess
       Quote Request form

• Pre Pay – 100% down

• Installments – 2, 3, or 4 payments
    – $300 minimum premium required for installment billing
    – Installment charge is $5 per installment, including down payment
    – 2 Pay Plan: 50% down/50% due 60 days after policy inception
    – 3 Pay Plan: 40% down/30% due 60 days and 30% due 120 days after
      policy inception
    – 4 Pay Plan: 25% down/25% due 60 days, 25% due 120 days and 25%
      due 180 days after policy inception

• 11 Equal payments automatically deducted from the insured’s bank
   account ($1 service charge per installment)

• Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

• United does not accept Credit Cards
• United does not accept Premium Finance

(EFT)
• EFT is available for all premium payment plans but mandatory for the
    11 pay plan
•   EFT must be set up by the insured.
•   EFT is available to be set up one day after the policy is bound. (It takes
     24 hours for the policy to be issued).
•   The insured should access
    https:www.pointpaymentcenter.com/default.aspx?id=upc and follow the
    directions
•   To register, the insured must enter his zip code and his 17character
    policy identification code. A help link is available to assist with
    registration.

• United plans to add additional vendors in 2010.
• The Request to Participate in Download form is now available on our
   website under United P&C Forms. Complete the form and send to
   upcfeedback@csc.com.

• Once we receive your information it takes approximately 1 week to
   set up the download process.

• Download for your flood business is also available.
